The Excelsior Hotel is part of the Kings Cross Hotels Group .
The Group has 3 hotels all located in the same street each next to the other , all in Argyle Square , Kings Cross , Central London WC1. All the hotels overlook Argyle Square Gardens. The hotel is located directly opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras International train station.

The Excelsior Hotel is set in a Georgian Townhouse ; and was originally built in 1725- the building was originally a private house for a wealthy English family . The buildng is set on 5 floors : Basement,Ground,First,Second and Third Floors.
The Building is a Grade II listed building and is protected by English Heritage. Many of the original features still remain in the hotel. The building does not have an elevator because of the strict conservation laws that govern listed buildings.
Over the years the building has changed from a private house , to a museum and then to flats and has now been restored and refurbished as a small budget hotel.
The Excelsior Hotel is a modern Bed and Breakfast hotel with 25 rooms ranging from singles ; petit doubles ; doubles ; twins;Quads ; Quins ; Appartments and basic rooms.
All our rooms are ensuite ( except the basic rooms )and there is Free Wifi throughout the building with acces points on each and every floor.There is a strong internet connection in everyone of our rooms. We do not charge for this service as we believe it is your right to free internet access .
The team at the The Excelsior Hotel are focused on the service we provide to you our guest . Our team is young and enthusiastic and enjoy serving and helping our guests. We can help you with anything you need at any time of the day.
All our rooms are cleaned and serviced daily by our house keeping department.
Linen and Towels : Your room has linen and towels already provided for your use; we will change these for you every third day you are here. If you require new towels and new linen before this time there is small fee of £1 per towel and £5 for a full linen change.
Rooms are ready from 1400 hrs daily , on arrival you can leave your luggage with us for free in our locked luggage room. On departure we can also hold your bags for you for a small fee of £1 per bag per day.
Our reception is open 24 hrs a day and is located in the Melville Hotel , 38 & 39 Argyle Square; about 5 houses away from The Excelsior Hotel.We serve breakfast from our dining room located at our sister hotel " The Albion House Hotel " ; about a 10 second walk away.
The Excelsior Hotel provides a buffet breakfast – complete with toast, fruit juice, milk, eggs, jam and cereal – As an optional extra giving you total flexibilty and price transparency.
We reccomend not driving to us as we are extremely well connected; having Kings Cross train station and St Pancras Interantional train station literally on our doorstep.
If indeed you need your car then : You will have to firstly pay the Congestion Charge as we are located within the congestion charge zone .
There is free parking on our street anywhere from : Monday - Friday from 1830 until 0800 hrs . All other hours there are parking bays avaialbe for £4 per hour and a 2 hr maximum stay length. Saturday from 1430 is free until Monday morning 0800.
There is also an NCP car park on Judd Street ( adjacent to us ) and the cost is £25 per day approx.
